PETRA
RIFF MAKES GOSPEL MUSIC CHANNEL
TOP TEN
With the globe’s undeniable infatuation over interactive
video games like “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band,” songs
with memorable chords across all eras are being
introduced to new audiences. Though the Christian
community has yet to tap into this riff-heavy rage,
there are several spiritually anchored tracks that could
easily stand up alongside their secular counterparts. In
fact, we can think of at least ten top tracks spanning
rock, pop, acoustic, alternative and gospel, and several
of yesterday and today’s prominent players agree.
Without intending to be definitive (and excluding the
legendary Phil Keaggy because he’d overtake all the
rankings otherwise),
here are some awe-inspiring crèmes of the crop
spanning all styles. |

WHICH
ONE IS JOHN SCHLITT?
CCM Magazine is running an online photo identification
contest, and amongst the pictures shown is someone you
know!
Taken from
CCMagazine.com
Some of your favorite artists looked pretty cute posing
with Santa or by their family Christmas tree back in the
day. Check out these childhood holiday photos from the
artists below. Take a stab at who you think is pictured,
and win fabulous prizes!
All you have to do is
leave a comment below and tell us who you think is
pictured. (There are eight artist photos total, and you
may have to switch pages to view all of them). We'll
randomly draw names of winners thoroughout the month of
December and send you CDs. The more you get right, the
more free music we'll send your way. So, start guessing
and spreading the holiday cheer...!
Contest ends December 31. |
